The HTC 10 is an excellent top-end smartphone. It feels snappy, bloat free and optimised. The cameras are great, the battery life is above average and the screen is good.

Just like its predecessor, It features a 12MP f/1.8 UltraPixel rear camera and a 5MP Front-facing camera where both sports Optical Image Stabilization technology for better low light shots. The 5.2in Quad HD Super LCD 5 screen is fresh and splendid with curved edges that blend into the phone’s metal frame.

The Huawei P9 is rocking the smartphone world, sporting impressive specs and features. P9 is the latest flagship smartphone from Huawei, it features a dual-camera with Leica certified lens as its main selling point.

Unlike others flagship smartphone, Huawei P9 equipped a 1080 Full HD Display. Although, the resolution is lower than others, but it still provide a vivid and clear color. While the Kirin 955 under the P9 is pretty impressive, it doesn’t really go that far from the previous Kirin 950. Capacity-wise, it comes with a 32GB of storage and support microSD Card up to 128GB.

For the camera, it boasts a Dual-camera which claim to be capable of beating all of its opponent. The camera are two 12-megapixel Sony 12MP IMX286 sensors that are paired with Leica Summarit H 1:2.2/27 lenses sporting an f/2.2 aperture and 27mm focal length. Both sit flush against the phone’s body, despite the lacks of optical image stabilization, the P9’s dual camera lenses can be used to perceive depth by offsetting one overlapping image to the other, which is useful for not only long-distance focus purposes, but also delivering relevant data for post-shooting depth adjustment via software.

“On the back of the phone at the top sits the dual-camera sensor, which I found made some onlookers perk up when they spot it, as right next to it is the Leica logo. I personally wasn’t a fan of this at first, but I’ve come to terms with it, and it does highlight the fact that Huawei has tapped into Leica’s 100 years of photography expertise to develop the camera setup on the P9,” James Peckham of TechRadar says.

Specifications wise, the LG G5 is using a Snapdragon 820 processor mated with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The 2,800 mAh size battery is slotted inside and the fingerprint sensor is situated below the dual camera on the back.

The X Performance, as suggested from the name, is the top-end model in the range. The device is beautiful, offers fantastic build quality and the new materials used on the X series really pop on the device.

The metal build really sets the OmniBalance shape off and the extra touches like the metal rim around the rear camera lens make this device feel like a premium handset.

The Sony Xperia X Performance is offering a Snapdragon 820 chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. It is IP68 waterproof.

It uses a 5 inch Full HD screen which adopts the Sony’s Triluminos technology on board which is nice and vibrant with good viewing angles from our brief experience with it. The screen is attached seamlessly to the metal back painted in a continuous color. The Graphite Black and White options feature an exclusive hairline finish.

It also has a 23MP camera with Hybrid AF and a 13MP selfie shooter. The main camera can record 4K video and can boost ISO up to 12,800 and a 24mm wide G Lens.

A fingerprint sensor is embedded on its power button. There’s also 4G LTE Cat9, Bluetooth 4.2, digital noise cancelling and DSEE HX forupscaling audio to complete its specifications sheet.

 

Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro
